Alana M. Vicentini, LMHC, LPC

Alana is a licensed mental health counselor, fluent in English and Spanish. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University. Alana completed her Master of Arts in Counseling and Education and her Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University. She specialized in Bilingual/Latinx mental health and completed her internship at the New York Health & Hospitals Corporation’s Roberto Clemente Family Guidance Center. Alana incorporates a culturally sensitive approach in her practice and applies techniques from various theoretical orientations including psychodynamic, person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness. Alana has extensive experience working with the Latinx/Hispanic community, with immigrants, and within the adult psychiatric setting. She specializes in immigration evaluations and in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and interpersonal issues for individuals, groups, and families.
