Gladys Duma is a bilingual licensed Clinical Social Worker, fluent in English and Spanish. She obtained her Bachelor of Professional Studies in Human Services from Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY) and completed her Master of Social Work at New York University, Silver School of Social Work. In addition, Gladys has received training of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at Albert Ellis institute and the Beck Institute. Gladys has worked in various locations, including the Roberto Clemente Center (Day-Treatment Program), Bellevue Hospital (Bilingual Treatment Program), and currently, the Psychological and Stress Management P.C. (World Trade Center Program). Gladys has been a professional in the field for the past 11 years, she is particularly passionate about working with the Hispanic community. Gladys incorporates a culturally sensitive and holistic approach that integrates a variety of methods and treatment techniques, including cognitive behavioral, rational emotive behavioral, motivational interviewing, person-centered, and integrative interventions. Gladys has also performed immigration and worker’s compensation evaluations. She has specialized in treating individuals, groups and families that are suffering from multiple psychiatric conditions, including trauma- related disorders (PTSD), depression and anxiety.
