HRC links asylum seekers with volunteer clinicians to perform medical and psychological evaluations to determine whether the survivors' claims of torture are consistent given the physical and/or psychological evidence, and if so, provide written affidavits for immigration proceedings. If required by the court, volunteers also testify, generally over the phone, at the hearing.
